Role focus
Day-to-day ownership of test planning, defect prevention, release checks, and quality reporting, with clear documentation, communication, and review habits.
Key responsibilities
- Own test planning, defect prevention, release checks, and quality reporting for the Manual Tester function.
- Maintain test coverage, defect quality, release risk, and traceability through checks, documentation, and follow-up.
- Coordinate with engineering, product, support, and release teams to keep work moving without unclear handoffs.
- Track defect, coverage, release, and automation metrics and explain changes, risks, and next steps.
- Improve recurring workflows, templates, reports, or handoff notes used by the team.
Requirements
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience for the Manual Tester role.
- Working knowledge of test planning, bug reporting, automation basics.
- Ability to document decisions, risks, follow-ups, and outcomes clearly.
- Comfort working with engineering, product, support, and release teams.
- Examples of improving test coverage, defect quality, release risk, and traceability or reporting on defect, coverage, release, and automation metrics.

- Experience with Test management or similar systems.
