Abbott Laboratories is an American multinational healthcare company founded in 1888 and headquartered in Abbott Park, Illinois. Led by Chairman & CEO Robert B. Ford, it employs roughly 115,000 people worldwide and operates across four business segments - medical devices, diagnostics, nutrition, and established (branded) pharmaceuticals. It reported revenue of about US$44.3 billion in FY2025 and trades on the NYSE under the ticker ABT.
Abbott has been present in India for over a century and employs more than 12,000 people across the country, with its Indian headquarters in Mumbai. Its India business spans pharmaceuticals (400+ branded products across women's health, gastroenterology, metabolic care, CNS and vaccines), nutrition, diagnostics and medical devices.
