Accenture plc is an Irish-domiciled global professional services company headquartered in Dublin, Ireland, providing technology and management consulting services across more than 120 countries. It operates through five areas - Strategy & Consulting, Technology, Operations, Accenture Song, and Industry X - and is led by Chair and Chief Executive Officer Julie Sweet.
The company was originally established in 1989 as the consulting arm of Arthur Andersen, became fully independent in 2000, and adopted the name Accenture on 1 January 2001. It is listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker ACN and is a component of the S&P 500. For fiscal year 2025 it reported revenue of about US$69.7 billion with a global workforce of roughly 779,000 people.
Accenture maintains a major presence in India, with offices across roughly 18 cities including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Mumbai, Gurugram and Coimbatore. Bengaluru is cited on Accenture's own about page among its principal global locations alongside New York, Dublin, Munich, Tokyo, Milan and São Paulo.
