Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD) is a US medical technology company founded in 1897 and headquartered at 1 Becton Drive, Franklin Lakes, New Jersey. It develops, manufactures and sells medical devices, instrument systems and reagents, and trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker BDX as an S&P 500 component, with a market capitalization of about $42.4 billion.
For fiscal year 2025, BD reported revenue of $21.84 billion and employed roughly 72,000 people across about 50 countries. It's led by Tom Polen, who serves as chairman, CEO and president. Vitor Roque became executive vice president and chief financial officer effective May 7, 2026, after serving as interim CFO from December 2025.
BD's India business operates through Becton Dickinson India Private Limited (CIN U74899DL1995PTC064117), incorporated in January 1995 with its registered office at Tolstoy House, Tolstoy Marg, New Delhi. The India entity is led by managing director Atul Grover and reported turnover of about Rs 1,621 crore in FY2025. As a wholly owned subsidiary, its finances are separate from the consolidated parent results.
