Founded in 2000 in Berwyn, Pennsylvania, by Rick Nucci, the company's low-code platform connects applications, data sources, and systems, and adds API management, data integration, master data management, and data preparation. Boomi is headquartered in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania.
The company was acquired by Dell in November 2010 and operated as Dell Boomi. In 2021, Francisco Partners and TPG Capital bought Boomi from Dell Technologies for about $4 billion, and it now runs as an independent, privately held company. Since 2024 it has grown through acquisitions including Rivery, APIIDA AG, Cloud Software Group's API assets, and Thru Inc. As a private company it doesn't separately disclose global revenue or market cap.
Boomi has an India presence through Boomi Software India Private Limited (CIN U72900KA2016FTC093305), incorporated on 16 May 2016 and registered in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The India entity reported revenue of about 140.28 crore rupees in FY2024 and roughly 320 employees. Boomi is led by Chairman and CEO Steve Lucas, appointed in December 2022, and reports serving more than 30,000 customers worldwide.
