Founded in 1971, it distributes pharmaceuticals and medical products across more than 100,000 locations and supplies medical products to over 75 percent of US hospitals. It trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker CAH and is a component of the S&P 500, ranking among the highest-revenue companies in the United States. For fiscal year 2025, ended June 30, 2025, the company reported revenue of about US$222.6 billion and employed roughly 57,700 people.
The company is led by Chief Executive Officer Jason Hollar, who has held the role since 2022, and Chief Financial Officer Aaron Alt, who joined in early 2023.
