Nationwide Building Society is a UK member-owned mutual headquartered in Swindon. Its earliest predecessor opened in 1884, and its customers who hold qualifying products are members rather than external shareholders.

The Society provides current accounts, savings, mortgages, credit cards and personal loans. Following the acquisition of Virgin Money, the wider Group also serves business banking and additional retail customers.
