Arm Holdings plc is a British semiconductor and software design company headquartered in Cambridge, England. It designs the energy-efficient CPU architecture and processor IP that most of the world's smartphones use, and it licenses that intellectual property to chipmakers rather than manufacturing chips itself. The company was founded in November 1990 and is majority-owned by Japan's SoftBank Group, which held about 87% of the shares after Arm returned to public markets on the Nasdaq (ticker ARM) in September 2023.

For the fiscal year ended 31 March 2026, Arm reported record revenue of $4.92 billion, its third straight year of growth above 20%, driven by adoption across smartphones, edge AI, and data centers. The company is led by CEO Rene Haas, who has held the role since February 2022, with Jason Child as Chief Financial Officer and SoftBank founder Masayoshi Son serving as Chairman of the board.

Arm has a large engineering presence in India. Its local entity, Arm Embedded Technologies Private Limited, was incorporated in Bangalore in October 2002. Arm runs its third-largest global office in Bengaluru at Bagmane Constellation Tech Park and a second India design center in Noida within the Embassy Tech Campus, Sector 144. These sites focus on product development, IP and system design, and software work.
