Hero MotoCorp Limited is an Indian two-wheeler manufacturer incorporated on January 19, 1984 and headquartered at The Grand Plaza, Nelson Mandela Road, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi. The company started as a joint venture with Honda of Japan and became fully independent after Honda sold its 26% stake in 2011. It's listed on both Indian exchanges as HEROMOTOCO on the NSE and 500182 on the BSE, with a market capitalisation of about INR 1,03,307 crore.
The company makes motorcycles and scooters ranging from about 97cc to 440cc, plus electric scooters under the VIDA brand. Manufacturing runs across plants at Dharuhera, Gurugram, Neemrana, Haridwar, Halol and Chittoor in Andhra Pradesh, with product development at the Hero Centre for Innovation and Technology in Jaipur and a tech centre in Munich. Hero also sells premium models through its Hero Premia retail format and builds Harley-Davidson motorcycles such as the X440 under a partnership with the US brand.
FY2025-26 was a record year. Standalone revenue from operations reached INR 46,830 crore and profit after tax hit INR 5,268 crore, with 64.69 lakh units sold and a total dividend of INR 185 per share. Harshavardhan Chitale took over as Chief Executive Officer on January 5, 2026, joining from Signify, while Pawan Munjal continues as Executive Chairman. The company reported 9,177 employees on its payroll as of March 31, 2026.
