Q: How would you determine whether two IP addresses belong to the same network?
A: Parse both addresses and their subnet masks into binary values, apply the respective masks with a bitwise AND, and compare the resulting network identifiers.
Q: Tell me about your experience training machine-learning models.
A: Choose one model and explain the objective, data preparation, baseline, feature and model choices, validation method, production result and one limitation you addressed.
Q: Merge two sorted arrays without using extra space.
A: State the mutation constraints first, then use an in-place gap method or carefully shift and insert elements while maintaining sorted order. Compare the time costs.
Q: Convert between Roman numerals and integers.
A: For Roman to integer, scan symbols and subtract a value when it precedes a larger one. For the reverse direction, greedily emit symbols from the largest supported values.
