Headquartered in Tel Aviv, Israel, with US corporate offices in Redwood City, California, it develops security software and hardware for networks, cloud, endpoints, and mobile, protecting corporate enterprises and governments worldwide. The company trades on the Nasdaq under the ticker CHKP.
In December 2024, founder Gil Shwed stepped back from the CEO role he had held since founding the company and became Executive Chairman, with Nadav Zafrir appointed Chief Executive Officer. Zafrir previously co-founded the venture firm Team8 and commanded the Israeli military's Unit 8200. The company reported revenue of about US$2.73 billion for 2025, up roughly 6% from US$2.57 billion the prior year, and employs around 6,825 people.
