Creating a Space is the starting point for any project: you tell the tool you want a new project, give it a name, and it opens straight into an editor with a live preview ready to go.

Blank Project Or Starting Point

At creation time you typically choose between starting from nothing (a blank Space) or starting from a template that already has some working code in it. Either way, the Space is yours to edit from that point forward - choosing a template just changes what's already there when you open the editor. The next page covers templates in more detail.

Note: Give your Space a descriptive name as soon as you create it. It's much easier to find 'css-grid-practice' again later than to hunt through a list of untitled projects.

Exact options and steps can change over time, so the tool may look slightly different from one visit to the next
