It provides financial solutions across lending, investments, insurance and payments, with businesses spanning NBFC and housing finance, asset management (Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC), life and health insurance, and stocks & securities.

The company was incorporated on 15 October 2007, with its registered office in Veraval, Gujarat, and its corporate office at One World Centre in Mumbai. It is listed on the NSE (ABCAPITAL) and BSE (540691) with a market capitalisation of roughly ₹1.09 lakh crore. Consolidated revenue was about ₹40,632 crore in FY25. Effective 1 April 2025, ABCL amalgamated its wholly-owned subsidiary Aditya Birla Finance Ltd into itself, bringing the group's large NBFC lending business directly into the listed entity.
