Cholamandalam Finance Interview Questions & Answers

Q: What is your dream

A: This checks your motivation and whether your goals fit a field sales career. Share a genuine ambition and tie it to growth you can build at Chola.

Answer by AI
  • State one honest long-term goal, personal or professional.
  • Connect it to skills this role builds, like client trust and target ownership.
  • Keep it short and grounded, then link it back to why you want to grow here.

Q: What is the concept of cross-selling in finance?

A: Cross-selling means offering an existing customer additional relevant products, like adding insurance or a top-up loan to someone who already has a vehicle loan. It raises customer value and deepens the relationship.

Answer by AI
  • Define it: selling extra, related products to an existing customer.
  • Give a lending example, such as pairing a vehicle loan with insurance or a savings product.
  • Note the benefit for both sides: more value for the customer, higher revenue per account for the lender.

Q: What is the meaning and purpose of timing file disbursement?

A: Disbursement timing is how quickly a sanctioned loan file moves from approval to funds released. Faster, well-timed disbursement improves customer experience and helps close deals before a buyer walks away.

Answer by AI
  • Explain disbursement as the release of loan funds after sanction.
  • Say timing matters because delays lose customers and hurt targets.
  • Mention the balance: move fast, but keep documentation and compliance checks intact.

Q: How do you handle pressure?

A: Answer with a method, not just a claim. Show how you prioritise, break targets into steps, and stay steady when numbers are tight.

Answer by AI
  • Name your approach: prioritise, plan the day, focus on what moves the number.
  • Give a short real example of a tight target or deadline you met.
  • Close with how you keep the team calm and on track under pressure.
