Great Learning is an Indian edtech company that sells professional and higher-education programs in technology, data and business. It runs blended, classroom and fully online formats, and its stated mission is enabling career success through high-quality transformative learning. The company says it has served 15 million-plus learners across 170-plus countries, and industry reporting in late 2025 put the figure at about 13.8 million learners with a network of more than 8,000 industry mentors.
The business was founded in 2013 by Mohan Lakhamraju, who's still Founder and CEO, alongside co-founders Hari Krishnan Nair and Arjun Nair. Its operating entity, Great Learning Education Services Private Limited (CIN U80302DL2010PTC211483), was incorporated on 16 December 2010 and is registered in New Delhi, with working offices in Bengaluru and Gurugram plus operations in the US, UK and UAE. BYJU'S acquired the company in 2021 for a reported $600 million; after BYJU'S ran into debt trouble the founders pursued a buyback, which Tracxn records as completed by December 2025.
Programs are delivered directly and with university partners including IIT Bombay, Johns Hopkins University, MIT Professional Education, UT Austin McCombs, Northwestern SPS, Deakin and Great Lakes Institute of Management. Consolidated revenue from operations was Rs 1,039 crore in FY25, up 4.7% from Rs 992 crore in FY24, with operating profit tripling to Rs 40.23 crore. AI upskilling drives much of the demand, and the company has packaged its AI learning tools under a brand called Glaide.
