Kalyan Jewellers India Limited is one of India's largest organised jewellery retailers. T. S. Kalyanaraman started the business in Thrissur, Kerala in 1993 with a single showroom, building on a family textile trading business. The company designs, manufactures and sells gold, diamond and precious stone jewellery across traditional, bridal and contemporary categories, and runs house brands such as Muhurat, Mudhra, Nimah, Glo, Ziah, Anokhi, Apoorva, Antara, Hera and Rang.
The company follows a hyperlocal retail model with a scaled presence in India, the Middle East, the USA and the UK. As of June 30, 2026 it operated 524 showrooms: 354 Kalyan stores in India, 38 in the Middle East, two in the USA, one in the UK and 129 Candere outlets. Candere is its digital-first jewellery platform, which Kalyan fully acquired in May 2024 and which grew revenue about 112 percent year on year in the June 2026 quarter. Much of the recent India expansion runs through a capital-light FOCO (franchise owned, company operated) model, with 222 of the 342 Kalyan India showrooms at the end of FY26 under FOCO.
Kalyan Jewellers listed on the NSE and BSE after its 2021 IPO and is headquartered at Punkunnam, Thrissur. Consolidated FY26 revenue was Rs 35,743 crore with profit after tax of about Rs 1,350 crore, and the board recommended a final dividend of Rs 2.50 per share in May 2026. Management has guided to roughly 150 new showrooms in FY27, including 84 new FOCO Kalyan stores.
