PropertyGuru was founded in Singapore in 2007 by Steve Melhuish and Jani Rautiainen. The group operates digital property marketplaces and related solutions for property seekers and business partners.
Its current corporate profile reports more than 1,100 employees, approximately 30 million monthly visits and close to 2 million property listings across Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam and Thailand.
EQT completed its acquisition of PropertyGuru in December 2024, valuing the transaction at approximately $1.1 billion in equity value. PropertyGuru became a private company and its shares stopped trading on the New York Stock Exchange.
