Fidelity Investments is the brand name of FMR LLC, a privately held US financial services group founded in 1946 and headquartered at 245 Summer Street in Boston, Massachusetts. It runs brokerage and personal investing, workplace retirement and benefits administration, asset management, clearing and custody, and a digital assets arm. Ownership is split between the Johnson family, which holds roughly 40 percent, and current and former employees, who hold roughly 60 percent, so the company doesn't trade on any exchange and doesn't publish audited public financials.

On scale, Fidelity reported assets under administration of $17.5 trillion including discretionary assets of $6.8 trillion as of September 30, 2025, and 2025 revenue of $37.7 billion. Company boilerplate from February 2026 describes more than 78,000 associates across the United States, Ireland and India. Recent product moves include the Fidelity Digital Dollar stablecoin, the firm's first ETF share classes, and a guaranteed income option inside its target date fund lineup.

In India, Fidelity operates through Fidelity Business Services India Pvt. Ltd. (FBSI), a global capability center serving FMR LLC and its US affiliates. Fidelity set up in India in 2003 in Bengaluru and now runs two offices there, at Embassy Golf Links Business Park and the Mahogany building in Manyata Embassy Business Park, plus a Chennai site at DLF Downtown in Taramani. India teams cover technology, operations, analytics and research, and corporate services. Fidelity International (FIL), which also has India offices, is a separate company spun off in 1980 and isn't part of FMR LLC.
