JetBlue Airways Corporation is an American low-cost airline headquartered in the Brewster Building in Long Island City, Queens, New York. It was incorporated in Delaware in August 1998 under the name NewAir by founder David Neeleman and started flying in February 2000. The carrier trades on Nasdaq under the ticker JBLU and is a component of the S&P 600.
JetBlue runs a mostly point to point network built around six focus cities, with its main hub at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport and the others in Boston, Fort Lauderdale, Los Angeles, Orlando and San Juan. As of 2026 the airline serves 111 destinations across the Americas and Europe with a fleet of 279 aircraft, all built on the Airbus A220 and A320 families after the Embraer E190 was retired in September 2025. It isn't part of a global alliance, but it holds codeshare and interline deals with carriers tied to Oneworld, SkyTeam and Star Alliance, plus a domestic partnership with United Airlines called Blue Sky.
The company reported full year 2025 revenue of $9.1 billion and a net loss of $602 million, an improvement on the $795 million loss in 2024. Its JetForward turnaround plan contributed $305 million of incremental EBIT in 2025, ahead of the $290 million target, and management has guided toward breakeven operating profitability in 2026. JetBlue employs roughly 23,000 people, who it calls crewmembers, and also owns the travel booking subsidiary Paisly.

JetBlue launches largest ever Fort Lauderdale schedule
JetBlue began eight new nonstop routes from Fort Lauderdale with six more coming, taking the airport to more than 125 daily departures to over 55 destinations this summer. The airline expects roughly 150 daily flights from Fort Lauderdale by winter.

Blue Sky partnership expands to cross airline sales with United
JetBlue and United began letting customers book flights operated by either carrier directly on both airlines' websites and apps using cash, points or miles. United also gets JetBlue slots for up to seven daily JFK roundtrips as early as 2027.
