Bajaj Allianz is the brand behind two Indian insurance companies headquartered in Pune: Bajaj Allianz General Insurance and Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance. Both were set up around 2000 and 2001 as joint ventures between Bajaj Finserv Limited, part of the Bajaj Group, and the German insurer Allianz SE. The two companies share a registered office at Bajaj Allianz House on Airport Road in Yerawada, Pune, and operate through roughly 1,200 branches across India.

The ownership structure changed in 2025. On 19 March 2025 it was agreed that Allianz would exit the joint venture, selling its 26% stake to Bajaj Finserv for about 2.6 billion euros. Following that deal the entities were renamed in India's corporate registry, with the general insurer listed as Bajaj General Insurance Limited (CIN U66010PN2000PLC015329) and the life insurer as Bajaj Life Insurance Limited (CIN U66010PN2001PLC015959), both now sitting under Bajaj Finserv Limited.

The general insurance business is led by Managing Director Tapan Kumar Singhel with Avais Aqil Karmali as Chief Financial Officer, and the life insurance business is led by Managing Director Tarun Chugh with Vipin Bansal as Chief Financial Officer. The general insurer reports about 8,624 employees and the life insurer about 34,338. Neither insurance company is separately listed on a stock exchange, so standalone revenue and market capitalisation aren't publicly disclosed through the sources reviewed.

Bajaj Allianz Interview Questions & Answers

Q: There were happened self assessment

A: Treat the self-assessment as a chance to show honest reflection: rate your own work fairly, back each rating with a real example, and name one area you're actively improving.

Answer by AI
  • Be specific and evidence-led: tie every self-rating to a concrete task or result you delivered.
  • Show balance by naming a genuine development area alongside your strengths, so it reads as honest, not inflated.
  • Link your self-review to the role's goals to show you understand what good performance looks like here.

  • Cover the basics of premium, sum insured, claims and the principle of indemnity that puts the insured back to their pre-loss position.
  • Add current context: pricing, risk assessment and claims settlement ratio are what customers compare across insurers.

Q: Can I deliver what I commit?

A: Answer with a track record: give one example where you set a target, the steps you took, and the measurable result you delivered against it.

Answer by AI
  • Use a short STAR example: the commitment you made, the plan, and the outcome with numbers.
  • Show how you manage risk to a commitment: early flags, a fallback plan, and regular updates to stakeholders.
  • For a bancassurance role, tie delivery to partner relationships and channel targets, not just individual effort.

  • For performance mapping, describe measurable KPIs per role and a regular review rhythm (weekly or monthly).
