Blinkit is an Indian quick-commerce company that delivers groceries and daily essentials in about 10 minutes through a network of dark stores. It was founded in December 2013 as Grofers by Albinder Dhindsa and Saurabh Kumar, and rebranded to Blinkit in December 2021. The company operates through the legal entity Blink Commerce Private Limited, registered with the RoC-Haryana under CIN U74140HR2015PTC055568, with its registered office and headquarters in Gurugram, Haryana.

Blinkit is a subsidiary of Eternal Limited (formerly Zomato Limited), which acquired it in June 2022 in an all-stock deal valued at about US$568 million. Because Blinkit isn't listed on its own, it has no standalone market capitalization; its parent Eternal trades on the NSE and BSE. For the financial year ending March 2025, Blink Commerce Private Limited reported operating revenue of about Rs 4,389 crore and a net loss of roughly Rs 929 crore, per its MCA filings.

As of April 2026 the company employed about 11,445 people and operated across 153 cities in India. It's led by co-founder Albinder Dhindsa, who serves as CEO, with Vipin Kapooria as Chief Financial Officer. In a leadership reset effective 1 February 2026, Dhindsa was also elevated to Group CEO of parent Eternal while continuing to lead the Blinkit business.

Blinkit Interview Questions & Answers

Q: Tell me about yourself?

A: Give a short present-past-future summary that centers on operations and team leadership relevant to a store role. Keep it under two minutes and tie your background to Blinkit's fast-paced environment.

Answer by AI
  • Open with your current role and scope, then trace one or two past wins that show you can run a busy store.
  • Highlight metrics you own, such as fulfilment speed, shrinkage, or staffing, since these map to Blinkit operations.
  • Close with why quick commerce and Blinkit specifically fit your next step.

Q: Why do you want to work at Blinkit?

A: Connect your interest to quick commerce and Blinkit's 10-minute delivery model, then show you understand the operational intensity of running a dark store. Back it with something specific you admire about the business.

Answer by AI
  • Reference Blinkit's dark-store model and rapid growth as a parent-backed Eternal business.
  • Explain how the pace and scale match how you like to work.
  • Add a personal or professional reason so the answer doesn't sound generic.

Q: How would you handle a difficult customer?

A: Walk through a calm, structured approach: listen, acknowledge, resolve, and follow up. Use a short real example if you have one, and show you protect both the customer relationship and store policy.

Answer by AI
  • Start by listening fully and acknowledging the customer's frustration without arguing.
  • Move to a concrete fix within policy, and escalate only when needed.
  • End by confirming the customer is satisfied and noting anything to prevent a repeat.

Q: What kind of work do you do?

A: Describe your hands-on experience with billing, order picking, packing, and inventory handling. Keep it concrete and tie it to accuracy and speed, which matter most on the store floor.

Answer by AI
  • Name the specific store tasks you've done: billing, picking, packing, loading, or stock checks.
  • Mention accuracy and speed, since quick commerce depends on both.
  • Add any tools or systems you've used so the interviewer can gauge your fit.
