Royal Mail Group Limited is the United Kingdom's designated universal postal service provider, delivering letters and parcels through the Royal Mail and Parcelforce Worldwide businesses. Its origins date to 1516, and the modern company is headquartered in London. Royal Mail says its network serves 32 million UK addresses and its careers site lists more than 130,000 employees.
International Distribution Services owns Royal Mail and international parcel company GLS. EP Group acquired control of International Distribution Services in 2025. Royal Mail remains a UK-based business and continues to operate the national letters and parcels network, including roughly 1,200 delivery offices and a growing collection of parcel shops, lockers, and parcel postboxes.
For the year ended March 29, 2026, Royal Mail reported £8.443 billion in revenue, £5 million in adjusted operating profit, and 1.44 billion parcels.
