Yes, your interview is being recorded. The Hyring Meet video platform is more than just another bot that joins a Zoom or Google Meet call, and recording is central to how the product is designed. Hyring states that "100% of interviews are transcribed, scored and recorded." And this is also included in the free tier as well. So unless your interviewer tells you otherwise, the session is always captured.

The recording is not done for filing purposes alone. It becomes part of the report the hiring team reads afterwards, alongside a transcript of the conversation and an AI summary or transcript. The hiring team can go back to what you actually said, and you are compared with other candidates on an equal basis rather than on who left the strongest impression that day on the recruiters. This reduces bias a lot in the entire process and also cuts both ways in your favour.

If your audio dropped briefly, or you came back later in the call and improved an earlier answer, it is on the record rather than lost.

Your recording is treated as sensitive data. Hyring is ISO 27001 certified and SOC 2 compliant, and handles candidate data in line with global privacy regulations including GDPR, and recordings and the data around them are encrypted and access-controlled.

Two things are set by the company interviewing you, not by us. The first is consent: we ask every employer to confirm the recording-consent rules for their region with their own legal or compliance team before they start using Hyring Meet. The second is how long your recording is kept.

If you want to know exactly what you have agreed to, or how long your interview will be stored, ask the company you are interviewing with. It is a fair question to raise before the call starts for clarification, and asking it does not make you a difficult candidate.
